The Westchester County Tourism & Film Office, a division of the County Executive’s Office of Economic Development, is committed to ensuring that every production is successful. Our staff offers you assistance with location scouting and research; production planning including up-to-the-minute permit and insurance requirements for the county's municipalities and businesses; connections to local film, television, and digital media industry professionals and support services, and tourism information to help plan your stay. While filming in Westchester, you can take advantage of New York State tax credit programs, plus, many of our versatile backdrops are in the New York City production credit zone. These include bustling cities, suburban life, quaint country villages, artsy Rivertowns, beautiful parks, horse farms, beachfront, rolling meadows, and corporate sites.

Calling all filmmakers: The application window for Pool 2—for productions with more than $10 million in qualified costs—will re-open on September 16 at 10 AM EST.

The NYS Independent Film Tax Credit Program offers a 30% tax credit on qualified production costs for independently owned and operated production companies.

Big numbers. Big impact. 🎬

Westchester’s film industry generated $1.85 billion in economic impact in 2025 — supporting 5,757 jobs, $535.6 million in employee earnings and 1,636 production days across the County.

Recurring television series, major feature films and commercials are filming across Westchester, demonstrating the County's ability to support productions of every scale and format. Repeat filming further strengthens Westchester's position as a full-service production hub.

Jhumpa Lahiri’s acclaimed short story collection “Unaccustomed Earth” is being adapted into a new Netflix series set in the Boston metropolitan area—but much of it was filmed right here in Westchester.

Location Manager Chris Britton worked with showrunners to scout locations across the county, drawing on Westchester’s diverse neighborhoods and range of settings to create the look and feel of the show.

A member of Director's Guild and Location Managers Guild, Chris has worked on productions including “Homeland” (Showtime) and “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans” (FX). Most recently, he secured locations for the upcoming Netflix series “Unaccustomed Earth” which filmed throughout Westchester.

Global tennis brand Sigrún selected Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers for a commercial shoot supporting its brand refresh and launch of a new apparel collection.
