Our Seed Library is looking better than ever thanks to our new volunteer, Will! If you don't already know, The Edge Advisory Board funded a seed library here at the White Plains Public Library, where patrons can pick up packets of seeds to grow at home! The seed library is funded by the Youth Climate Action Fund grant, which is supported by the Bloomberg Action Fund, the City of White Plains, and the White Plains Library Foundation. Stop by and select up to ten seed packets next time you visit.

Looking for a fun way to volunteer your time to a good cause? Consider the 2026 WLS Battle of the Books! We are still looking for volunteers for the 12th Annual WLS Battle of the Books at Anne M. Dorner Middle School, 100 Van Cortlandt Ave., Ossining, NY on Saturday, October 24th - 8:30 AM to 2 PM (half-day options available). 🗳️ Election Day is only a few weeks away.

Be informed on the issues and the candidates by attending the White Plains Common Council Candidate Forum.

📍 White Plains Library Auditorium

Two seats on the Common Council are on the ballot this year.

The Candidate Forum will be recorded by Plains Community Media and be available on their website (www.wpcommunitymedia.org). It will also be broadcast on Optimum channel 76 and Verizon channel 47 (schedule to be announced).
