June is Men’s Health Month, and we are working to break the stigma surrounding a critical piece of overall well-being: men's mental health.

This year’s theme—“Partners in Care: For Better Outcomes Across the Lifespan”—highlights the essential role that families, communities, and care partners play in supporting healthier outcomes for men. Too often, fathers, brothers, and young men feel pressure to "tough it out" alone, but real wellness takes a village.

At Family Ties, we are dedicated to being part of that network—providing safe, supportive spaces where men can connect, share their experiences, and access resources. Let's work together to ensure the men in our lives feel supported at every stage of life.

This Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Family Ties is proud to honor the diverse cultures and stories that shape our neighborhoods. We are committed to ensuring every family feels seen, heard, and supported while navigating life’s challenges with dignity.

In celebration of , we are highlighting the incredible work of Teresa Hsu, the Executive Director of SPEAK. Teresa is a dedicated advocate who believes in the essential need to increase access to care and decrease barriers to treatment for marginalized populations.

Her work focuses on a systemic approach to mental health—understanding that a child’s well-being is deeply connected to their family, neighborhood, and culture. By prioritizing collaborative care and prevention, she is helping to build a community where everyone in our historically marginalized populations can truly thrive.

We had a great time connecting with everyone at NAMIWalks last weekend! Family Ties was proud to have a table at the event on May 16th to support such an important cause in our community.

It was inspiring to see so many people come together, ready to embrace the life-changing resources and support that the NAMI community provides. Being part of this event is about more than just the walk; it is about truly showing up for ourselves and one another while strengthening our collective mental health.

Family Ties was honored to attend the Putnam/Northern Westchester Women’s Resource Center 2026 Gala, "Together as One: A Community United for Safety." Two of our staff members attended this meaningful event at the Putnam County Golf Course to stand in solidarity with those dedicated to creating peace in the home and in our world.

Our attendance was in special honor of Robi Schlaff, the former head of the Westchester County Office for Women. Robi has been a steadfast advocate for the wellbeing of women impacted by domestic violence and was instrumental in supporting the funding and implementation of our own Support and Connect program.

We are grateful to the PNWWRC for hosting such an inspiring evening and for their ongoing commitment to community safety. It was a privilege to celebrate Robi’s legacy and the vital work being done to support families across our region.
