Join us in person or online to celebrate Caribbean American Heritage Month. On June 15 at 7 PM, the Board will honor:

🔸Lyndon Williams, a distinguished jurist, civic leader, and champion for youth opportunity

🔸Rupert “Ted” Bitter, a Vietnam veteran, inspiring coach-leader, and Peekskill businessman

During the regular meeting, the Board will hold one public hearing to consider a local law repealing the authorization for the County Attorney to present criminal proceedings related to violations of probation in the criminal courts in conjunction with the Department of Probation.

Early voting starts this Saturday, June 13. That is also the last day to register to vote AND the last day to request an absentee or early mail ballot.

At the Board’s LGBTQ+ Pride Month celebration Monday night, we honored two community builders whose leadership, advocacy, and service have helped make Westchester more welcoming and inclusive.

A picture can save lives.

Tonight, the Board of Legislators unanimously passed a groundbreaking bill requiring gun retailers display visual safety warnings about the risks associated with gun ownership. Westchester is second in the nation to adopt such a measure.

Before the vote, advocates and community partners stood together in support of the Visual Safety Warning Law.
