Say hello to Fable, our new Youth mascot!

Fable was born in the quiet woods of Indian Springs Metropark, where she spent her early days leaping over streams, chasing fireflies, and listening to the wind rustle through the trees. From a young age, she loved asking big questions about the world.

One rainy afternoon, following the faint scent of adventure (and something that smelled a little like old paper and cookies), she stumbled upon the library. She immediately knew she had found a place where curiosity could roam free and she never left.

Now Fable spends her days exploring the stacks, uncovering hidden gems in books, and turning every library visit into a new adventure.

Say hello to Folklore, our new Teen mascot!

Raised in the forests of Highland State Recreation Area, Folklore comes from a long line of storytellers who shared tales of nature, history, and wonder. He learned early on that stories are everywhere, in the wind through the trees, in the footsteps on a trail, and in the voices of those who pause to listen.

That curiosity eventually led him to the library, where stories are shared and celebrated in endless forms.

Now Folklore helps guide teens toward knowledge, creativity, and calm inspiration wherever they are on their reading journey.
