🌿🐝 Parks for Pollinators is back! 🦋🌸

The City of White House, Tennessee- Parks and Recreation is excited to participate in the NRPA Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz for the third year!

Throughout September, we’re inviting residents of all ages to get outside, explore our parks, trails, and green spaces, and help us discover the incredible variety of plants, insects, birds, and wildlife that call White House home.

📸 Last year, you helped document 160 species! This year, we’re ready to see what else we can find.

Participating is easy! Download the free iNaturalist app, create an account, and join our project: “Parks for Pollinators 2026: City of White House Parks and Recreation.” Then simply snap photos of the nature you discover and upload your observations.

Every observation contributes valuable information that can help support science, conservation efforts, and pollinator health — and it’s a fun way for the whole family to explore our community! 💚

🐝 Grab your phone, head outside, and see what you can discover this September!

🇺🇸 Never Forget 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the countless acts of courage and compassion witnessed on September 11, 2001.

This year marks 25 years since the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and aboard United Airlines Flight 93 in Pennsylvania.

Each September 11, our nation observes Patriot Day in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day. Flags are flown at half-staff as we honor the victims, their families, the first responders, members of our military, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the courage shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy and the unity that brought Americans together in the days that followed.

Today, the City of White House joins communities across our nation in honoring their memory.

🇺🇸 We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
