Join REV UP Arkansas and community partners for National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 10AM.

This high school and college registration initiative empowers students to register, learn about the issues, and make their voices heard.

Participating schools include Parkview High School, Mills High School, Graduate Arkansas, Southwest High School, Hall High School, North Little Rock High School, Shorter College, Arkansas Baptist College, and Philander Smith University.

Extreme heat will affect the Central Plains, the Southwest and California this week, according to the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS). Stay and keep checking forecasts, staying hydrated and looking out for each other.

Medicaid Waivers in Arkansas

A Medicaid waiver is a special permission from the federal government that lets U.S. states change standard Medicaid rules to provide long-term care services in a person's home or community instead of in an institution like an HDC or a nursing home.

AR Autism Waiver, Arkansas Autism Partnership:
Who? Children with autism ages 18 months to 8 years. Must be accepted and begin the program before the 5th birthday to be eligible.

AR Choices in Homecare Waiver:
Who? Individuals aged 65 or older and individuals with physical disabilities aged 21-64 years.

AR Community and Employment Support Waiver:
Who? Individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or developmental disabilities, all ages. WAITLIST.

AR Living Choices Assisted Living Waiver:
Who? Individuals aged 65 or older and individuals with physical disabilities aged 21-64 years.

🍁 COMMUNITY RESOURCE — Families in Pine Bluff need a little extra help this month? Saint John AME Church, along with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, is giving out FREE Family Grocery Boxes on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 9:00 AM–11:00 AM (or until boxes run out).

One box per family — pickup is in front of the church on Cherry Street. ID required, and please stay in your vehicle.
