Hi Library Friends, have you ever wondered how your membership dues and our fundraising efforts support the library? We help the Norrisville Branch continue offering programs such as crafternoon, storytime, childrens crafts, summer reading presenters (Bright Star Theatre, The Science Guys of Baltimore, Prehistoric World, Wildlife Adventures), Craft & Create, Lego Club, Chalk Our Walk, and many more. Continue to check out our page for photos of past events as well as future events.

Our September book sale is several weeks away, with Tuesday evening the 22nd being setup and the sale running Wednesday (Member’s Preview) through Saturday. If you have an hour or two (or more) to help cover the table during the sale or help with set up, please sign up here. There is a perk for those signing up to help set up on Tuesday evening.

Other upcoming events include a photo display in the library by the Harford County Photography Group in October, a raffle for a framed photograph donated by Frank Marsden and a framed photograph donated by Melissa Glackin. Check them out and support the Friends by buying a ticket or 2! We will also have a fundraiser through Jarrettsville Creamery & Deli on Tuesday, October 13. The Creamery will donate 10% of ALL sales from 4-8pm to our group. Our next Friends meeting will be October 22 at 6:30pm in the meeting room, please come join us!

Just a reminder, all memberships expire December 31, 2026. If you have not renewed since the book sale last September, please do so at this year’s book sale. Renewing at the book sale will allow shopping at the book sale’s Member’s Preview Day, Wednesday September 23rd.
