UPDATE:

County Road 18 at the railroad crossing will be closed most of the day Tuesday.

Early investigation confirmed there were no hazardous materials in the rail cars that tipped over.

Thank you to all responding agencies and crews who assisted throughout the incident.

The White Earth Police Department is currently assisting at the scene of a train derailment near Ogema at County Road 18.

At this time, County Road 18 is not passable and the public is asked to avoid the area until further notice. Traffic control measures are in place and emergency personnel remain on scene.

Early investigation indicates the train was carrying grain products. At this time, there are no indications of hazardous materials being involved.

There have been no reported injuries, and there is no known threat to public safety at this time. The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

The White Earth Police Department is currently investigating an assault that occurred at Shooting Star Casino.

Multiple suspects are in custody.

Due to the involvement of juveniles in this incident, no further information will be released at this time.

16 year old male Floyd Turner, brown hair, brown eyes, slender build, approx. 6 foot tall. Unknown clothing description, left home during the night, possibly on black mountain bike. Let from residence east of Mahnomen.

Last week, the White Earth Police Department executed a search warrant related to ongoing narcotics sales occurring within the region. The operation resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of evidence connected to drug distribution.

The following individuals were taken into custody:
• Guy Keezer, 40 (Waubun) – Arrested for felon in possession of ammunition
• Leslie Keezer, 36 (Waubun) – Arrested for outstanding warrants
• Jeremy Neeland, 48 (Mahnomen) – Arrested for outstanding warrants
• Jaycia Littleowl, 23 (Minneapolis) – Arrested for 5th degree possession and 3rd degree sale of controlled substances
• Jemichael Leon McCoy Jr., 23 (Michigan) – Arrested for 5th degree possession and 3rd degree sale of controlled substances

This investigation remains active, and additional arrests are expected as follow up work continues.
