Big things ahead for Lyda! 🎓

This Saturday, she graduates with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and we could not be more proud of her and all the hard work she has put in to reach this milestone.
Next up: pursuing her Master’s in Social Work while continuing to work with us and serve our community💙
She was accepted into both Grand Valley State University and Western Michigan University for her Master’s program. So what do you think… will she be a Laker or a Bronco?

Being a “trusted adult” isn’t the same as being a safe adult. 💙

A common misconception is that false reports of child sexual abuse are frequent. In reality, they are not.

Less than 5% of reports are false.

When a child speaks up, they deserve to be heard and taken seriously. Choosing to act, even when it feels uncomfortable, helps create safer environments for children.

Newaygo Girls on the Run selected us for their community project, and we couldn’t be more grateful! They worked through bags and bags of donations by sorting, folding, and organizing everything by size to get us ready for spring and summer.

Our county transitioned this year to the Monique Burr Foundation for Children (MBF) curriculum for comprehensive prevention education. This program helps equip both youth and adults with the tools to recognize, prevent, and respond to unsafe situations.

As part of this initiative, MBF also offers free online trainings for adults, a great opportunity to learn, grow, and strengthen our community’s ability to keep children safe.
