The district also offers adult basic education, community education classes, recreation offerings and a senior program. PROTOCOLS FOR DISTRICT SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES - Limited Forum for Comment by Community Members

Independent School District No. 624 (District) maintains a page and other social media pages for the primary purpose of informing community members about important events, activities, and developments in the District. The District’s social media pages are not a public forum for comment. To the extent that comments are permitted, the District’s social media pages are designated as a “limited forum” for “community members” to submit comments that relate directly to information the District has posted on its social media page. The term “community members” means residents of the District, alumni and students enrolled in the District, family members of students enrolled in the District, and employees of the District. Only community members may post comments on the District’s social media pages. The District social media pages are not intended to be open for comment from individuals who are not community members. Comments will be removed if the District determines that the comments were not made by a community member. All comments posted on the District’s social media page must relate directly to information that the District posted on the social media page. Unrelated comments will be deleted. Community members may not post images or links to external content on the District’s social media pages. Additionally, community members may not post any comment with content that is:
- A violation of any District policy;
- A violation of any law;
- A violation of any the privacy rights of any individual or entity;
- Discriminatory;
- Racist;
- Sexist;
- Harassing;
- Abusive;
- Threatening;
- Profane;
- Lewd;
- Obscene;
- Objectively false;
- Defamatory;
- A form of cyberbullying;
- An allegation against another person;
- A personal attack on another person;
- Demeaning or denigrating of any group;
- Personally identifiable information on a student;
- Reasonably likely to incite violence;
- Reasonably likely to create a material and substantial disruption at school or at a school sponsored event or activity;
- Deemed by school officials to present a risk to the safety or security of any school facility;
Spam;
- A reference to any product or substance that is illegal for minors or is prohibited on school property; or
- Commercial in nature, including words or images that advertise, promote, or disparage products, services, or any commercial venture. The District will delete or remove comments that are prohibited under this protocol. Additionally, all users are bound by the Terms of Use of individual social media platforms. A social media platform may independently remove any comments that violate its Terms of Use. The District does not sponsor or endorse any comments that community members make on the District’s social media pages. The views that community members express on the District’s social media pages are not necessarily the views of the District. Community members who post comments on a District social media page do so at their own risk and are wholly responsible for their comments. Community members are encouraged not to post private or sensitive information on the District social media pages.

It's a 624 Fact - WBLAHS Theatre students performed a medley at the Spotlight Showcase, enjoyed seeing WBLAHS 2012 grad Dylan Rugh serve as a reception MC, and celebrated Eli Murphy being named one of four students to receive the New York Experience - a major prize offered by Hennepin Arts through its Spotlight Education program. During the all-expenses-paid trip to New York City, Eli will enjoy Broadway Shows, Masterclasses and Industry Networking. Go Bears!
