‼️ HAPPENING NOW ‼️
✈️ For the last 6 years, Mr. Dague’s 7th grade Science Class at Bridge Street Middle School has taken on a unique challenge to end their year: a paper airplane competition. Students spend the last two weeks of school in their science class reviewing motion and force with the goal of creating the perfect paper airplane.
✈️ “Motion and force align with our 7th grade standards. Students review motion and force as well as the four forces involved with flight: gravity, drag, lift, and thrust,” explains Dague.
✈️ “Depending on their design, students will have to account for thrust to overcome drag or consider lift to overcome gravity. And to be honest, it’s also just good fun to end the school year,” he explains.
Stay tuned for this year’s winners…and take your bets on the staff! Insider info: we think Mrs. Beck is a shoe in for the staff!
