WVU Extension Service-Ohio County On our web site you will find Extension Service related information on all of these subjects.

WVU Extension Service has offices in each of the state’s 55 counties, Extension faculty and staff develop and deliver programs that bring the university to the people. The Ohio County Extension office provides aid to farmers, gardeners, and homeowners, but also local educational programs for area families, businesses, and communities. If you have questions, you can always call our office or e-mail us.

We are officially all moved into our new office space!
You can find us in the City-County Building on the fourth floor. Our room number is 406. When you step off of the elevator on the fourth floor, turn right and you will see us at the end of the hallway.

🌱 **Registration is NOW OPEN for Teen CLOVER Workshops!** 🌱

WVU Extension is launching Teen CLOVER (Community Leaders of the Ohio Valley Enhancing the Region) a new program designed to build youth leadership and empower teens to make a difference in their communities across West Virginia and Ohio.

Through hands-on workshops teens will learn leadership skills, explore community needs, and develop plans for service projects. Participating teams can apply for $500 to bring their ideas to life with funding available for youth-led projects across the region!

πŸ‘₯ Who can join?
Youth-serving groups (3–7 teens + 1–2 adult leaders) from schools, 4-H, scouts, faith-based groups, sports teams, and more.

πŸ“ Workshop Dates & Locations:
β€’ April 20 (5:30–8:00 PM) – New Martinsville
β€’ May 5 (5:30–8:00 PM) – Weirton
β€’ May 9 (10:30 AM–1:00 PM) – Wheeling

City of Wheeling Tree Board Chair Karen Cox recently led an arborist training program in which students completed 200 hours of instruction and hands-on field experience in arboriculture and urban ecosystem management. Cox presented diplomas to the graduates last week on Arbor Day.
