People's Resource Center Last year, PRC assisted nearly 25,000 low-income DuPage County residents, providing them with basic needs and programs to break the cycle of poverty.

Go to www.peoplesrc.org. Since 1975, People’s Resource Center has been bringing neighbors together to respond to hunger and poverty in DuPage County. With a team of over 2,600 volunteers, we offer nutritious food and other basic necessities like clothes and rent assistance for people facing tough times. We also connect people with resources—education and tutoring, jobs, technology, art, a caring community—to create a future of hope and opportunity for all.

Our Dietetic Intern, Jack, is sharing an easy recipe for soft, delicious whole grain flour tortillas that are perfect for tacos, wraps, and more. Give them a try and let us know what you think!

Ingredients:
Baking Powder - 1 Tsp
Salt - 1/2 Tsp
Vegetable Oil - 2 Tbsp
Whole Grain Flour - 2 cups

More than 50% of the food in PRC's pantries comes from food rescue! Every day, our incredible team of Food Rescue volunteers helps ensure perfectly good surplus food from local grocery stores reaches our neighbors.

We're looking for more volunteers to join this amazing team! We welcome volunteers with a Class C driver's license, drivers for a truck without a C license, and helpers who ride along.
