People's Resource Center Last year, PRC assisted nearly 25,000 low-income DuPage County residents, providing them with basic needs and programs to break the cycle of poverty.

Go to www.peoplesrc.org. Since 1975, People’s Resource Center has been bringing neighbors together to respond to hunger and poverty in DuPage County. With a team of over 2,600 volunteers, we offer nutritious food and other basic necessities like clothes and rent assistance for people facing tough times. We also connect people with resources—education and tutoring, jobs, technology, art, a caring community—to create a future of hope and opportunity for all.

Last night at the Westmont Village Council meeting, Mayor Steve Nero and Council members honored PRC with a proclamation in honor of our 50th Anniversary. Receiving this recognition on World Hunger Day made the moment even more meaningful.

We were honored to be joined by PRC volunteers, Westmont Champions and Volunteers, Board Members, and team members who help make this work possible every day.
As our CEO Jeni Fabian shared during the meeting, more than 94,000 neighbors in DuPage County experience food insecurity. We are grateful to be part of the fabric of the Westmont community and look forward to deepening our local partnership as we work together to serve our neighbors.
