The DuPage County Recorder’s honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice by giving their lives for their country this Memorial Day.

The free DuPage County Memorial Day Service will be held on May 24th at 2:00pm at the Veterans Memorial at 115 County Farm Rd, Wheaton, IL 60187.
It features posting Colors by members of the DuPage Honor Guard, DuPage Sheriff’s Honor Guard, US Army, and DuPage Marine Corps League, bagpipes, speaker Anthony Catella 1st Battalion Veteran Reserve Corps, Weapons Salute, TAPS, and Gold Star Families.

The DuPage County Recorder's Office is pleased to announce the second annual Flag Day Ceremony!

This free event will be held on June 12th at 10:00am at the courtyard steps of the 421 N County Farm Rd. Administrative Building across from the 501 Sheriff's Building, and is open to the public and suitable for all ages.

Guests will listen to local leaders speak on civic duty and democracy, watch local organizations be awarded for their efforts, honor local veterans, enjoy refreshments and small freebies, and more!

Additionally, Illinois Humanities will be hosting a Community Recording Booth after the Flag Day Ceremony in honor of America's 250th Anniversary, interviewing DuPage residents for the Illinois Voices 250 Project, a statewide time capsule of conversations with people from all 102 Illinois counties.

This project celebrates and preserves the voices of everyday Illinoisans: who we are, what we care about, and what we think is important about this moment in our country’s history. Interview tips and more info can be found at: https://www.il250.org/il-voices

The DuPage County Recorder's Office grieves the passing of Maria Mildred “Millie” Meija.

Singing wherever she went, Millie took care of our office space, but more so she took care of its people. During her visits she often asked about county staffs’ personal lives, and maintained personal and meaningful relationships with many.

She will be missed.

The DuPage County Recorder's Office grieves the passing of previous Recorder Fred Bucholz.

Fred Bucholz contributed over 30 years of service in the DuPage County Recorder's Office, with 15 of those years as the elected Recorder.

All who came in contact with Fred have numerous retellings of his joyous spirit, he will be truly missed.

The DuPage County Recorder’s Office recognizes May 10th as Mother's Day.

On this day, we look towards the mothers, grandmothers, sisters, friends, and found family that have been a supportive shoulder when we have needed it most. They laugh with us, cry with us, and push us to be better versions of ourselves, and for that, we are thankful.
