A look back at a wonderful day on the course. ⛳️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Golf Classic. From our golfers and sponsors to our volunteers and supporters, your generosity helps CASA continue advocating for children who have experienced abuse or neglect in DuPage County.

Because of your support, children facing uncertainty have a dedicated advocate by their side, helping ensure their needs are heard and their best interests remain the priority.

Thank you for making this event such a success. We are grateful to have such an incredible community behind our mission.

Reunification is rarely simple.

It can involve:
therapy
court hearings
supervised visits
recovery programs
parenting support
rebuilding trust
and months, sometimes years, of work.

During National Reunification Month, we recognize the hard work of families working toward reunification, along with the professionals, caregivers, advocates, and support systems helping guide that process.

Sometimes the smallest items can provide the biggest sense of comfort.

When children enter care or experience sudden transitions, CASA of DuPage County’s Emergency Assistance Fund can help provide essential items that help children feel safer, more comfortable, and supported.

This number may feel like a statistic, but every number represents a child with a story, a voice, and a need for support.

Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, seen, and connected to the people and resources that can help them heal and move forward. 💙

During Foster Care Awareness Month, we are especially grateful for the advocates, professionals, caregivers, and community members who continue showing up for children navigating the child welfare system.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

A child’s emotional well-being is shaped by the people and environments around them. Support can come from parents, relatives, teachers, coaches, mentors, neighbors, volunteers, advocates, and other trusted adults who help children feel safe, heard, and supported.

Sometimes, supporting a child’s mental health looks like listening without judgment. Sometimes it’s creating consistency, encouraging open conversations, spending intentional time together, or simply showing up with patience and care.

At CASA of DuPage County, we see every day how meaningful it is when a child knows there is a trusted adult in their corner, especially during difficult or overwhelming moments.

Community matters, and every caring adult can play a role in helping children feel less alone. 💙

For Betty, becoming a CASA volunteer advocate was years in the making.

After first learning about CASA through a book written by an advocate, she knew it was something she wanted to do one day. Following her retirement from teaching, Betty completed training in 2018 and has since advocated for children and youth through multiple cases alongside the support of CASA supervisors and staff.

Reflecting on her experience, Betty shared:

“I often think about the children I advocated for and hope they know I still care about them.”

Thank you, Betty, for the compassion, consistency, and care you continue to bring to children and families in our community. 💙
