Serving as your commissioner over the last seven years , much has been accomplished. A Strategic Plan has been developed with the help of many citizens who use our preserves. Everyday our programs and spending are geared to implementation of that plan. It provides us the direction and "trail" we will follow for the coming years. We eliminated seven (7) costly director positions and two (2) Deputy
Directors. All of this has been done to save taxpayer's money (Preserving the Green), but to continue to efficiently meet the green space needs of the public of preservation and accessibility. I am pleased to be part of a Board that runs a fiscally sound Forest Preserve Operation. In DuPage County we are blessed to have had leaders with the foresight to acquire 25,000 acres of green space throughout the county. The Forest Preserve Commissioners oversee a $92 million dollar budget to accomplish the mission of the Dupage County Forest Preserve. "Preserv'n of the Green" was coined to draw your attention my commitment to being a stewart of our green space and the tax payers' money that pays for it all! I am running for re-election as your District 4 Forest Preserve Commissioner. It is my firm desire and commitment to continue the work to preserve our green space, make the land accessible and usable while making certain we remain fiscally responsible. I intend to live up to your trust in me as your elected Forest Preserve Commissioner here in District 4.
