This morning, Sheriff James Mendrick and Corrections Chief Mark Garcia congratulated Deputy Wade Graunke who retired after 15 years of dedicated service. Deputy Graunke served in Corrections , SWAP, and retired from the Administrative Bureau, where he was assigned to Court Security.

Sheriff James Mendrick and the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office extends a heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and community members who came out to support this year’s Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois.
This morning the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office hosted the Region C , Unified Agency Torch Run, at the DuPage County Judicial Complex. Law enforcement agencies from across DuPage County united to carry the Special Olympics Torch, demonstrating their support for Illinois Special Olympians.
Congratulations to all the athletes who participated in this Special Olympics Illinois event! Your dedication and excellence make us incredibly proud each year!

Sheriff James Mendrick, Undersheriff Eddie Moore, and LEB Chief Guy Papa would like to welcome our newest K9 teams to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office!

Deputy Emily Lotter has been assigned to the K9 Unit with her new partner, K9 Drako. Drako will be specially trained in cadaver detection and narcotics detection, helping serve and protect our community with his unique skills.

We would also like to introduce Deputy Paul Dante and his partner, K9 Jet. K9 Jet is trained in explosive detection and will play an important role in keeping our community safe.

Please help us welcome these outstanding deputies and their K9 partners to the K9 Unit. We are excited to see the great work these teams will accomplish together!

We had our friends from Benjamin Middle School stop into our West Chicago location this morning. Students collected and raised money for this event. They stopped in to make the donation and were greeted by members of the office as well as Undersheriff Moore!
