Today was a busy and important day for our community to reflect and
Wheaton Prayer Breakfast with meaningful reflection from former Wheaton Mayor Carr. The 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in Memorial Park. And a “Flag of Honor” dedication ceremony at the Wheaton Fire Department. I am thankful 🙏 to be a part of all of this with so many amazing people.

Join us as we celebrate our newly renovated West Plaza with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 4:30 pm! Featuring remarks from elected officials including Mayor Phil Suess and U.S. Congressman Sean Casten. 🎉

After the ribbon cutting, stick around for a concert on the West Plaza with The JukeBox Heroes starting at 6 pm.

It was inspiring to see and hear from so many dedicated volunteers this morning at the West Suburban Philanthropic Network Awards. Proud to workin, live in, and represent parts of DuPage County! And to be with community leaders; Paula Deacon Garcia, Buffy Higgins Beard, Erica Nelson, Colleen Attwell and Meg Beasley.

Tornado Warning for southern Kane, northeast Kendall, southern DuPage, and northern Will Counties. including Aurora IL, Joliet IL and Naperville IL until 11:00 AM CDT. Within this warning, embedded tornadoes and destructive tornado-like thunderstorm winds both possible. Aurora Airport in Sugar Grove recently gusted to 85 mph. Head indoors for safe shelter immediately!
