Clinton County along with most of Iowa was recently placed under a "Red Flag Warning" by the NWS.

Here are the differences between a "red flag warning" and a countywide "burn ban."

Yes you technically can open burn under a red flag warning but PLEASE don’t!

Burn ban is still on

Windy, warm and dry conditions will lead to Critical Fire Danger this afternoon, warranting a Red Flag Warning for much of the area. Outdoor burning or any actions that could lead to fire starts should be avoided. Also, heed any burn bans.
