Hello JeffCo,
I’ve attached the updated Jefferson County Investment Policy. We’ve been following ESG guidelines throughout my time in the Treasurer’s Office, and the policy has now been officially updated and added to the County Treasurer webpage.

The updated Investment Policy provides more detailed guidance by breaking out individual investment classes with defined duration and portfolio allocation limits. A new Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) section was added to acknowledge the County’s awareness of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) related factors when investing. The policy now also includes a dedicated definitions section to improve consistency in interpretation.

Additionally, a risk management section was added to outline key risks to help monitor and mitigate them. Collectively, these changes strengthen oversight, improve transparency, and align the County’s policy with industry standards and practices.

If anything comes up, I’m always happy to talk.

Hello JeffCo,

I offer my humble gratitude to the many people who supported and worked on my State Treasurer campaign. Your trust, encouragement, and partnership have meant more than I can adequately express. I am especially grateful for my family and my wife, Julie, whose steadfast support made this journey possible and fun!

It has been a privilege to serve the residents of Jefferson County as Treasurer for the past seven years. Throughout the remaining nine months of my term, I will continue to uphold the principles that have guided my service—transparency, engagement, and accountability. As with each elected office I have held, I am proud to leave this office in stronger condition than when I assumed it.

I have not yet determined my next steps, but I am considering all opportunities, including the possibility of continuing my public service in another elected role within Jefferson County. Local government remains the level at which meaningful, day‑to‑day impact is made, and I continue to value that work deeply.

My campaign for State Treasurer was an extraordinary experience. Traveling across Colorado and meeting so many dedicated individuals reaffirmed my commitment to public service. For those who may be considering a run for office, I encourage you to pursue that path; it is both challenging and profoundly rewarding.

I hope that my campaign contributed to elevating the conversation around the programs and policies the State Treasurer’s Office can advance for the benefit of all Coloradans. I also want to acknowledge the significant efforts of the state and county party officers whose hard work ensured a well‑organized and successful State Assembly. I extend my congratulations to Senator Jeff Bridges on qualifying for the primary ballot for State Treasurer.

Finally, I remain committed to the principle that the Democratic Party should continue to be a “big tent” that welcomes diverse voices and perspectives - even newcomers. It is essential that we guard against ageism (too young or too old) and to avoid reducing individuals and candidates to labels or checkboxes.

Experience, character, and a commitment to win-win public policy should guide our support for candidates. I encourage all Democrats to embrace a culture of public praise and private criticism, and to refrain from attacking one another on social media or in the press. Our strength lies in our unity and our shared commitment to serving the public good.

If you have any questions, feel free to call or text me at 720‑253‑6785 (cell). My website is www.jerryditullio.com

In Solidarity,

Jerry DiTullio, MBA, M.Ed.
Jefferson County Treasurer

Agreed 😡
I was under the impression that pardons/clemency/reduced sentences existed to correct injustices in the criminal justice system — not to excuse misconduct or shield individuals from accountability. January 6th raised that concern nationally, and now we’re seeing similar patterns here in Colorado. 👉 https://www.coloradocommunitymedia.com/archives/digital-east/news/article_7e20b986-6379-54ed-8f6e-d9acf6b68cfa.html

Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly condemned Governor Jared Polis’s decision to grant clemency to a convicted felon who attempted to kill two Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputies. Brandin Kreuzer has served just 15 years of his 50-year sentence.

The case stems from a violent, month-long crime spree in 2008 orchestrated by Brandin Kreuzer and Taylor Moudy. The coordinated crime wave, which terrorized communities across Douglas County and Castle Rock, culminated in a high-speed pursuit where deputies were ambushed with high-powered rifle fire, resulting in the wounding of Deputy Todd Tucker.

Sheriff Weekly, who personally worked as an investigations commander on the original case, released the following statement:

"I have spoken with both deputies involved, and they are absolutely furious, as am I. The audacity of Governor Polis to grant clemency to a would-be cop killer on National Peace Officer Memorial Day shows a complete lack of respect for the brave men and women who wear the badge and put their lives on the line every day. I personally worked on this case and remember what it took to track these two suspects down. I will have more to say in the coming days."

Hello JeffCo,
The attached memo is conveying property tax collection and distribution for April 2026 (distributed on 5/10/2026).

As you know, property taxes fund critical services from Special Districts such as our JeffCo school district, fire departments, public works, water, sewer, city services, public safety, etc.

For every dollar of property tax collected, 27 cents goes to Jefferson County government for services and projects. The other 73 cents funds the services and projects of JeffCo's special districts.
