A Toast to Toast ! 💙

A huge thank you to Toast, a cloud-based software and financial technology company that provides an all-in-one point-of-sale and restaurant management platform, for volunteering at the South Shore Food Bank and Weymouth Food Pantry today!

Their team stepped right up and jumped right in, helping our monthly volunteers pack food for the Backpack Program. Thanks to their incredible energy and teamwork, we finished packing in record time! 🚀 They also helped package candy that will be distributed to local families this Thanksgiving. 🍬🦃

Thank you for helping us make a difference in our community. We'd love to have you back!

Interested in bringing your company in for a volunteer day? Contact Jen O'Brien at [email protected] to learn more about volunteer opportunities with the Weymouth Food Pantry and South Shore Food Bank.

We were thrilled to welcome a great group from the Stop & Shop Quincy Corporate Office to our warehouse today!

This team rolled up their sleeves and made a real impact by: ✅ Labeling, bagging, and boxing 200 homemade Made with Love meals ✅ Sorting shelf-stable food donations to help keep our pantry shelves stocked

Every box packed, every label applied, and every donation sorted helps us get nutritious food into the hands of neighbors facing food insecurity.

Thank you for spending time giving back and helping us fight hunger in our community. We couldn't do this work without dedicated volunteers like you!

Fighting Hunger, Reducing Waste

We're proud to share this NBC feature highlighting the ribbon cutting of the expanded Food Recovery Warehouse at South Shore Food Bank and Weymouth Food Pantry.

This expanded warehouse will help us rescue, sort, and distribute more fresh, nutritious food throughout the 28 communities served by South Shore Food Bank, while reducing food waste across our region.

We were grateful to celebrate alongside Kathryn Alexander, Vice President of External Affairs at The Greater Boston Food Bank; Christina Peretti, Sr. Director of Community Impact at The Greater Boston Food Bank; Senator Patrick O'Connor, State Representative Alyson Sullivan-Almeida; and Joan Meschino, State Representative.

Thanks to the support of The Greater Boston Food Bank, the Gershner Foundation, our food donors, pantry partners, volunteers, and community supporters, we're building a stronger, more food-secure South Shore.
Watch the story below to see how food recovery is making a difference. 💚

A Splash of Color and Community!
Last week, we were delighted to welcome a group of freshmen from Archbishop Williams High School to our warehouse for a day of service and teamwork!

The students helped brighten our space by painting picnic tables that will be used for warehouse events, staff lunches, volunteer gatherings, and community celebrations. Their hard work transformed these tables into colorful, welcoming spaces that everyone will enjoy for years to come.

It's always inspiring to see young people giving back to their community, and these students brought plenty of energy and enthusiasm to the project.

💚 A huge thank you to the freshmen from Archbishop Williams High School for helping make our warehouse a little brighter and a lot more welcoming. We appreciate your hard work and community spirit!
