“I prefer to work outside, but I really enjoy coming to the Rockland office!” ☀️🏢

What does a successful vocational program look like? It looks like finding what you love while building real-world skills! 💼✨

Patrick recently caught up with Sean, from our Launch program, to chat about his experience and what he enjoys most about coming to the office.

Sean told us his true passion is working outdoors but he shared that he loves coming into the Rockland office too! Programs like Launch are all about helping indivitual's explore different environments, discover their preferences, and build confidence in the workplace. 🙌

Kristine is hitting the ground running! In May, Kristine was able to meet with Weymouth Mayor Molisse to discuss the housing needs of the individuals we support in his city.

By diving right in, Kristine is ensuring that SSSS continues to build relationships with other nonprofits, corporations, cities/town, and foundations to create collaborative opportunities -- keeping an eye on the long-term stability and future growth of the agency.

We are so excited to announce that Kristine Marquis has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, effective December 1, 2026!

If you’ve been around South Shore Support Services for a while, you already know Kristine’s heart and hustle. Since joining the team, she’s been a force of nature—founding our Agency With Choice (AWC) program model currently supporting nearly 300 people across Southeastern Massachusetts. Kristine doesn’t just lead from an office; she has deep roots in our organization and an unwavering commitment to the families we serve.

"I am excited to build on that momentum, continuing to scale our services to ensure even more individuals and families in our community have access to the choice, dignity, and opportunity they deserve." — Kristine Marquis

As Kristine prepares to lead us into this next chapter, we have so much admiration and gratitude for our founder, Mary Burt. After 31 years of service, Mary will be retiring at the end of the year -- until then both Mary and Kristine will work together to ensure a smooth transition!

Please join us in the comments to congratulate Kristine and thank Mary for her decades of service! 👇

Arrears Management Program Forgiveness Program) www.nationalgridus.com/MA-Home/Bill-Help/Arrears-Management-Program The Arrears Management Program (AMP), formerly known as the Forgiveness Program, is available to customers on income-eligible discount rates who have a balance of at least $300 that is more than 60 days past due.
If your account is still active, no down payment is required.
If your service has been shut off for non-payment, a down payment on the balance due is required.

Then, you can begin a payment plan. National Grid will determine your monthly bill amount based on your average energy usage. If you make payments on time, part of your past due amount may be forgiven (up to a maximum of $12,000 per year).
For example, say your past due balance is $1,200 and we set a budget amount of $150 per month. For every month that a required $150 budget payment is made towards the current bill, National Grid will reduce your past-due balance by $100 (calculated as $1,200 ÷ 12 = $100).
For more information or to enroll in the AMP, call 1-866-580-7617.
If you are not on an income-eligible discount rate code, or you don’t meet the AMP Program guidelines, we do offer other payment plan options at More Time to Pay.
Eligibility:
The customer must be a National Grid residential customer in Massachusetts with active service.
The account balance must be $300 or more and at least 60 days overdue.
The account must have confirmed enrollment in our National Grid Low Income Rate.
The customer must pay their monthly budget amount each month and on time.

How it Works - Eversource The New Start program can help eliminate your outstanding balance in as little as 12 months if you make on-time monthly payments.
www.eversource.com/residential/account-billing/payment-assistance
We'll review your account billing history and set a monthly payment plan based on the average of your regular monthly bill.
When you make your New Start monthly payment, a portion of your total balance at the time of enrollment will be eliminated, or "forgiven,” reducing the amount you owe. The amount forgiven each month is calculated by taking your total enrolled balance and dividing it by 12.
As long as you continue to make your New Start payment, your service will not be shut-off for non-payment.
For example, if your budget payment amount is set at $150 per month and your past due balance is $1,200, for every month you make your required $150 budget payment towards your current bill, we will reduce your past-due balance by $100.

We are still glowing from the Art of Inclusion gala, but reading these words from our photographer Snapshots by Susan really hits home. Susan captures more than just images; she captures the trust and pride of our artists.

Building meaningful relationships doesn't happen overnight. We are so grateful to have a creative partner who understands that the heart of the work is the connections we build with one another.

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing The Art of Inclusion at the South Shore Art Center in Cohasset, hosted by South Shore Support Services, Inc. This gala evening is a celebration of talent, heart and inclusion. After all these years of photographing these individuals who receive services, we have built up a trust that allows me to photograph them and hopefully show the pride that they feel, having their art work displayed and sold!

Making images like these is not about camera gear or settings. It's about forming a relationship with your subject and that just takes time and a desire to do so. I can totally relate to these artists; to the pride they feel having their work displayed and to the joy of selling that work, knowing that it will be enjoyed by many others once it's displayed by the owner.

Many congratulations to all of the artists, the event organizers, the sponsors and everyone who showed up in a big way to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of these talented artists.
