If you know our Launch crew, you know that being out in the community and supporting the local businesses around us is a big part of who we are. Our team is working jobsites all over the South Shore, so having local businesses like Atlantic Bagel support what we do means a lot!

Today, we honor the brave firefighters, police officers, first responders, and all those who lost their lives on 9/11. We also remember their families and loved one. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Last month, our community lost a longtime champion and friend—and our Executive Director, Mary, lost her high school sweetheart—with the unexpected passing of John Burt.

John was a huge part of South Shore Support Services and the South Shore community as a whole. His loss is felt by everyone who knew him.

John was never without a big smile and lots of energy, seemingly ready for whatever. His commitment to living life to the fullest was matched only by his dedication to making sure our community was welcoming and inclusive for all!

As Mary’s biggest cheerleader and SSSS’s greatest champion, John brought heart to everything. The world lost a truly good guy. Our SSSS family will continue to carry John's legacy and commitment to inclusion forward with our work at the agency. We invite you to carry forward his legacy by helping create a happier, more inclusive world too!
