Sunday March 29th is Vietnam Veterans Day. Take pause in your day and thank all that served our country when called upon in southeast Asia and in supporting roles in the air, on the ground, and on the seas throughout the world during that era. Never forget those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Bless those who carry the scars of war. Remember all who have passed since returning home.

Find a Vietnam Veteran in your neighborhood and simply say "Welcome Home "!

Wreaths Across America scheduled for Saturday 13 December have been canceled due to forecast of dangerous wind chills. Volunteers are out today at area cemeteries placing wreaths on the graves of Veterans and thanking them for their service and sacrifices. Thank you to all the volunteers!

The Weyerhaeuser VFW is a supporter of the Rusk Rockets 4-H Club. The Club helps out with the Poppy Drive and Wreaths Across America. Club member Reagan F and VFW Tom Busch are pictured with a donation to Rusk Rockets. Great community involvement!

VFW Post 5780 will be conducting Memorial Day services at area cemeteries Sunday May 25th as follows: Strickland ABVM 9:30, Bass Lake 9:45, Old Catholic 10:00, Catholic 10:30, Village 10:45. Take some time to honor those veterans no longer with us.
