According to all the weather models, there is a good chance of scattered thunderstorms this afternoon, possibly some severe. While we generally do not cancel a program day for such a forecast, we WILL enforce RHWPA's safety policy:

If thunder is heard at all while riders are mounted, they will be removed from their horses and that class cancelled. Thunder may also prevent a class from beginning, Each class will be evaluated based on weather modeling.

PARENTS: If you decide not to bring your rider today based on this information, please call the barn number to let us know -- 412-366-2220.

While we all miss our riders, parents, and volunteers (and horses!) today, there are a few things going on that you can plan for!

Our annual lottery ticket sale is ongoing now. $5/ticket ($50 for a book of 10). Based on the daily lottery number, but you don't even have to check the numbers! Our fabulous treasurer, Jim, keeps close track and will contact you about your winnings. See anyone at the desk in the volunteer shed.

This Sunday, June 14, is the spring show of Pennsylvania Connecting Communities (PACC) at 1:00 PM at the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center. Our very own volunteers, DeeDee and Jack, are stars of the show! Admission is free, so set aside your afternoon for some music and fun -- you will not regret it!
