Please be advised that work will be conducted on the dam tomorrow (Friday, May 22nd). As a result, water service will be temporarily interrupted from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

During this period, water pressure may be reduced. We anticipate that the water tower will sufficiently meet daily needs; however, we encourage residents to remain mindful of water usage and practice conservation where possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation.

📢 Municipal Court Time Change

Please be advised that City of Wewoka Municipal Court will continue to be held on the fourth Monday of each month, but the time is changing.

Beginning in June 2026, Municipal Court will begin at 1:30 p.m. instead of 2:00 p.m.

Please make note of the new time for future court dates.

UPDATE: 🚧 Dam Project Update 🚧

Due to rain and lightning in the area, work on the dam project will be temporarily postponed as the rain passes for the safety of crews and the public.

Water pressure will remain normal today.

🎉 Exciting news for the City of Wewoka! 🎉

The City of Wewoka has officially been accepted as a Network Level community in the Oklahoma Main Street Program! This statewide program helps communities strengthen and revitalize their historic downtown districts through economic development, preservation, tourism, beautification, and small business support.

City Manager Becky Stone proudly accepted a commemorative plaque at the Oklahoma State Capitol recognizing our community’s acceptance into the program. This achievement marks an important step forward as we work to bring new energy, opportunity, and revitalization to Wewoka’s historic Main Street district while preserving the character and history that make our community special.

We are excited for the opportunities this partnership will bring and look forward to building a stronger future for Wewoka together.

Citywide Cleanup & Citywide Garage Sales happening again THIS Weekend! 🧹

We encourage all residents to participate and take advantage of the opportunity to clean up properties and dispose of unwanted items.

Garage Sales: No permit required on May 1–2 🛍️

Tree Limbs: Curbside pickup is not available this weekend.
However, residents can bring limbs to the dump site. A staffed dump truck will be located at the dump site (parking lot across from the football field) to assist residents with unloading tree limbs.

Thank you to everyone who participates and helps keep Wewoka clean.
