For those of you who do not know what the Alabama Republican State Executive Committee does, let me tell you in a nutshell. The SEC (State Executive Committee) Directs, manages and supervises the affairs and business of the ALGOP; it is the Governing Body of the ALGOP; it determines Party Policies; it develops and implements rules for Primaries. It elects the Chairman of the ALGOP and other officers. The Steering Committee of the ALGOP hears "Candidate Ballot Challenges." This is so important as many Democrats try to switch to the Republican Party. There are 2 meetings a year and members vote on Resolutions that are submitted by their members that are related to current and pertinent issues before the Alabama Legislature. We let them know what issues they should focus on and how the ALGOP wants them to vote. THIS POSITION IS FOR NO PAY.....ALL VOLUNTARY!
