Munising Bay Quilt Guild

Munising Bay Quilt Guild MBQG's mission is to educate/promote interest in quilting, and to provide a place for quilters to interact and learn. A meeting is planned for April 8, 2021.

Centered in Alger County, MI, efforts include quilt donations to support the community, an annual quilt camp, and triennial quilt show. Meetings are at 6pm, second Thursday of the month. Since COVID restrictions are in effect, meetings have been virtual every second month.

Here is our show and tell from our September meeting! We hope that you will all join us on this Tuesday the 6th for our meeting with AnnMarie Rowland coming to perform her Pieces in Time Musical Trunk Show. She has written her own music and travels to sing and play guitar while showing dozens of antique quilts. We will also be having a potluck for this meeting for those who may be interested in attending. Please bring a dish to pass if willing and able. All are welcome, we hope to see you there. Please feel free to share and invite your friends to join!

We were asked by Judy Haupt to share her APQS Ultimate II longarm that she is selling. She is located in Newberry. If you have any questions please reach out to Judy directly. I have linked the marketplace listing in the comments from my personal account as our page settings do not allow us to do so.

😂🧵 Let's talk about wants vs. needs... 🧵😂

People keep telling me I should shop my stash...

And I agree! I want to use my stash.

But... I also need new fabric. Those are two completely different things! 🤣

Besides, how am I supposed to ignore all those beautiful new collections? A quilter has responsibilities! 💙

Who's with me? Raise your hand if you've ever walked into a quilt shop for "just one thing" and somehow came home with enough fabric for three new projects! 🙋‍♀️🛍️

No judgment here... this is a safe place! 😄

August's show and tell and photos from our meeting! We hope to see you all next Thursday for our meeting.
