Comisionado Bartolomeo: El crecimiento del empleo en Connecticut sigue superando al del resto del país; los empleadores de diversos sectores están creando puestos de trabajo y elevando la cifra total de empleos a un nuevo máximo, superando los 1,73 millones. Comm. Bartolomeo: CT job growth continues to outpace the nation with employers across multiple industry sectors adding jobs & bringing payrolls to a new high above 1.73 million jobs. Overall, July data was positive; CT's economy remains stable.

On Jan 1, 2027, minimum wage will go up $0.54 to $17.48/hour. This is an increase of $21.60 per week for 40 hour workers & will help mitigate inflation & higher food costs. CT law mandates the recalculation of the minimum wage every year to ensure the lowest earners in CT keep up as the economy grows. More info: ct.gov/dol

CTDOL put out the mid-year labor report, CT's economy is steady & stable. Employers added 1,500 jobs in June & payrolls hit a new high of 1,726,500 jobs. Unemployment is up slightly--employers are taking more time to hire right now. Job seekers are in the market longer than in recent years. Info at ct.gov/dol
