Calling all parents and guardians! It's time to sign up as a PTO member for the 26-27 school year. Sign up by 9/30 and you will be entered in a raffle for front-row seats to the winter concert. And the class with the highest percentage participation wins a free recess!

🖐️🎨 Create a Lasting Memory for Our Tigers! 🎨🖐️

We're looking for volunteers to help lead our Kindergarten Handprint Project—a special Emerson-Williams tradition that captures a moment in time for our students!

This project creates a canvas mural featuring the handprints of our kindergarten students. Years later, when those same students are in 6th Grade, we recreate the project so families can see how much they’ve grown and have a special keepsake to remember their elementary school journey. 💙

Committee leads will help:
🖐️ Coordinate the kindergarten handprint mural project
🎨 Organize supplies and the handprint activity
📅 Work with the school to schedule the project
🌟 Repeat the project with the same students when they reach 6th Grade

📣 Represent Emerson-Williams at the Wethersfield Schools Parent Council! 📣

We're looking for volunteers to join our WSPC Committee and serve as a voice for Emerson-Williams within our larger Wethersfield Public Schools community.

Committee members will:
🏫 Represent EWPTO at monthly Wethersfield Schools Parent Council (WSPC) public meetings
🤝 Connect with PTO, PAC, and PTSA representatives from schools across the district
📝 Share important updates, discussions, and points of interest back with EWPTO at our monthly PTO meetings

WSPC meetings are typically held at 12:00 PM on the first Thursday of each month and provide a great opportunity to stay informed about district-wide topics and collaborate with other school communities.

We’re looking for enthusiastic Room Parents to help support our amazing E-W teachers, families, and classrooms throughout the school year!
Room Parents will help:
🤝 Encourage parents/guardians and families to get involved and support the teacher
😊 Help build a strong classroom community
📅 Coordination of parent volunteers for classroom events/activities
💌 Organizes or helps to organize Teacher Appreciation Week gifts/Holiday gifts
💬 Connect with Room Parents across all grade levels through the EWPTO Room Parent Facebook Community to share ideas, ask questions, and support one another
