Truck 32 and Car 5 are on scene with Task Force 51 in the town of Berlin. All companies are working at a commercial structure fire on Christian Lane.

At approximately 0213 hours on Thursday, Truck 22 responded to the Town of Rocky Hill as part of Task Force 51, for town coverage as RHFD was working a structure fire on Silo Drive.
Shortly after arrival at RHFD Company 2, they were requested to the scene to assist with overhaul and clean-up.
Truck 22 was back in service in our Town at approximately 0355 hours.

The department is out on Prospect Street and Thornbush Road for wires down in the roadway. Prospect Street is closed between Collier Road and Goff Road. Please avoid the area.

The Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department is out tonight proudly supporting the Wethersfield Police Department National Night Out!

It’s great to see such a fantastic turnout from our community and to spend the evening alongside our fellow first responders. Events like this are a wonderful opportunity to connect with residents, build relationships, and strengthen the partnership between the community and those who serve it.

Thank you to everyone who came out—we’re happy to be part of another successful National Night Out!

The Wethersfield Fire Department was honored to be recognized at the Wethersfield Freedom Tribute for First Responders and Veterans last evening.
We recognized the members who lost their lives performing their duties for the WFD and a member who was killed in action during World War 2.
Thank you to the committee for including us in this Tribute.

Yesterday evening, members of the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department conducted Boat Operations training at The Cove. Personnel trained on the operation of Marine 16 and Marine 26, while also completing a variety of water rescue evolutions.

The WVFD responds to several emergencies on local waterways throughout the year, and training like this ensures our members remain prepared to respond safely, efficiently, and effectively whenever called upon.

Have a safe holiday!

In Connecticut, sparklers and fountains are the only legal fireworks for display and use. All other fireworks are illegal. These items can start fires and could cause injuries.
