🚑🚒 WVAC Responds to Vehicle Fire

Today, members of the Westwood Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the Township of Washington to assist their Fire Department at the scene of a vehicle fire.

WVAC personnel provided care to one patient. Our crew remained on scene to provide EMS support and ensure medical assistance was immediately available if needed while firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and secure the scene.

We’re always proud to work alongside our neighboring first responders when called upon. Thank you to the Township of Washington Fire Department and all responding personnel for their teamwork and service to our communities.

Yesterday, WVAC & Township of Washington Volunteer Ambulance Corps each gained two new EMRs. At a joint training event 4 students who completed the class were able to work together to complete their practical portion and get certified!

Congrats to WVAC’s Abby and Danielle as well as WTVAC’s Judy and Nayanika! 🎉🥳

⚽ This past month, WVAC was proud to support the EMS Task Force of New Jersey during the FIFA Club World Cup events at MetLife Stadium.

In June, one of our crews staffed a first aid station at a transportation hub, providing medical support for fans traveling to and from the stadium.

For this past Sunday’s championship match, our members were assigned to a surge task force, standing by to assist the stadium’s EMS operations in the event of a large-scale emergency. Throughout the tournament, EMS agencies across New Jersey worked together to ensure communities remained covered while many local resources were committed to the games.

We are honored to have played a part in this regional effort and are proud of the teamwork, professionalism, and collaboration that helped keep both visitors and our local communities safe throughout the tournament.
