The City of Westwood is pleased to announce the selection of our next Police Chief, Curt Mansell, who will succeed former Chief Greg O'Halloran who retired last month. Mr. Mansell comes to Westwood from the City of Lee's Summit Government and is anticipated to start with Westwood on August 2nd, following formal consideration by the Westwood City Council at a July 29th special meeting. We are very excited for him to meet our wonderful community and we know he'll be a great addition to our fantastic Police Department!

The Westwood City Council recently passed a resolution in support of this bond issue which, if passed, will ensure that our community remains home to Westwood View Elementary.

The deadline is noon on THIS Tuesday, the 26th, which means it’s too late to mail your ballots back. SO, please drop them off! Drop boxes will be open at the following locations until noon on January 26:

Johnson County Northeast Offices - 6000 Lamar Ave.
Shawnee Library - 13811 Johnson Drive
Central Resource Library - 9875 W. 87th Street
Johnson County Election Office - 2101 E. Kansas City Rd.
