Residents are reminded that parking on public streets is prohibited during snowstorms to allow for safe and effective snow removal. Vehicles left on roadways may be ticketed or towed. Additionally, pushing or depositing snow into public streets is prohibited, as it creates hazardous conditions and interferes with snow-clearing operations by our road department.

An Extreme Cold Warning and a Wind Advisory have been issued for our area. Temperatures tomorrow will be in the teens, dropping to single digits Saturday night. With wind gusts expected to be 40-50 mph, wind chills are expected to be -5 to -15 degrees Saturday night. Power outages are also possible, so prepare for cold conditions though Monday.

A winter storm watch has been issued for our area for Sunday. Heavy snow is expected with double digit accumulations likely. Travel will be hazardous, please avoid going out to allow our DPW to keep roads clear for emergency vehicles. OEM will update again if warranted.

Icy conditions are expected overnight as anything that is wet will freeze on untreated surfaces. Snow will return early Sunday morning, and a Winter Weather Advisory (area in purple) has been issued for our area. An additional 2-4" are expected so please avoid travel if possible.
