Introducing our KID LIBRARIAN for JUNE…
MAXINE ROACH
Maxine has been coming to library programs and checking out books with her mom for several years now.
In addition to reading, Maxine enjoys drawing, playing outside, crafts, making bracelets, playing drums and much more.
Maxine has several pets that she loves. One dog, three cats and 1 fish.
Her favorite book is WE**IE featuring Frank & Beans.
Maxine put together a wonderful display of books. Stop in during the month of June.

Bill Pickett stopped by today, and I had to capture this photo of him.
I showed him our Freedom Celebration Rock Snakes, and found the rock that was painted to honor his history in the city and county.
You can see this rock, along with many more awesome, painted rocks that make up Rocky and Rockette, our two painted rock snakes.

Today kicks off my annual Summer Reading program! I am inviting all K-5th grade students to join me in reading this summer.

Joining my summer reading program is easy! Read 8 books over your summer break and have a parent or guardian submit the list to my office. An invitation will be sent out to all readers inviting them to join me in celebrating summer reading in late summer with a certificate ceremony.

Wednesday Afternoon at the Movies

This month, we are showing a family fun movie that both adults and children will love!!
In Disney and Pixar’s “Hoppers,” animal lover Mabel (voice of Piper Curda) seizes an opportunity to use a new technology to ‘hop’ her consciousness into a life-like robotic beaver and communicate directly with animals. As she uncovers mysteries in the animal world beyond anything she could have imagined, Mabel befriends charismatic beaver King George (voice of Bobby Moynihan) and must rally the entire animal kingdom to face a major, imminent human-threat: smooth-talking local mayor Jerry Generazzo (voice of Jon Hamm). The all-star voice ensemble also features Meryl Streep, Dave Franco and Kathy Najimy. “Hoppers” is directed by Daniel Chong (“We Bare Bears”) and produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle (“Incredibles 2”), with an original score by Mark Mothersbaugh.
