Did you know that Westville was once widely known as the "Moonshine Capital of the World"? 🥃✨

Decades ago, our town's dense woods and remote Panhandle terrain made Holmes County the perfect spot for hidden, booming corn whiskey operations.

During tough economic times, bootlegging served as a major financial lifeline for many local families, cementing our spot in Florida’s colorful history.

While the days of the old stills and our former Moonshine festival are now part of the past, that independent, resilient spirit is still a huge part of who we are today!

We love our rich local history and the stories that shaped our community.

🚰 TOWN INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE: Our Water Tower is Refreshed & Ready! 🚰

If you've driven by lately, you probably noticed our town water tower looks brand new! We have officially completed our mandated maintenance project, including a full deep clean, precision sandblasting, and a beautiful fresh coat of protective paint.

Water towers like ours are the quiet heroes of small towns. They don't just store our clean water; they use gravity to create the reliable water pressure we rely on every single day for cooking, cleaning, and fire safety.

A project like this takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work, budgeting, and coordination by your town council, and we are thrilled to see it wrapped up beautifully to serve Westville for years to come.
