What a great training! Special thanks to McGees Towing & Recovery for hosting this nightime training and supplying the three cars our crews were able to cut up. We had crews from Westport, Wadhams and Port Henry Fire Department.

Essex County Burn Ban in Effect

Public Notice: Due to the continued dangerously dry conditions and lack of rainfall in Essex County, another Burn Ban will be in effect through Saturday October 18th, 2025, unless rescinded or extended.
Please note that this does not include small camp fires where the fire is built in a fire ring that confine and contains the camp fire. This order supersedes all all burning permits previously issued by any municipal or state entity.
This action is necessary to protect our community and natural resources from the threat of wildfires. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping keep Essex County safe.

Happy Fourth of July All. We hope everyone enjoys the weekend. We hope to see you all tomorrow for our Annual Pig Roast. The Auxiliary will be doing their drawing tomorrow for BBQ Basket Raffle.

Also please remember not to drink and drive. The life you save could be yours or a loved one of yours.

Last weekend approximately 30 Fire/EMS personnel participated in an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC). The purpose of this two day course is to provide students with the needed skills to safely operate and drive emergency vehicles.

Many thanks to McNeil+Co for sponsoring the course, Instructor Pat Tromblee for your time, Willsboro + Essex Fire Departments and Commonwealth Home Fashions for use of your locations and Travis Crowningshield for securing the traffic cones.
