The Westport Recreation Department partners with the Westport Beach Committee to help support the lifeguards for Cherry & Webb Town Beach. ⛱️🌊☀️

Today we held our annual Pre-Service Lifeguard Training, which included going over our Emergency Action Plan, safety rules, policies, procedures, and drills at the beach. 🛟 🏃‍♂️

The guards did a fabulous job and are ready to serve starting next Saturday, 6/13. Thank you in advance to all the guards for keeping our beach safe and a special shout out to our Head Lifeguard, Michael Croteau, for all the prep work he has done to lead his team! 🙌😄

When you go to the beach this summer, please remember to follow the posted beach rules in order to respect the space and fellow patrons. 👍

Westport Recreation Director, Dana Stewart and Westport Food Pantry Director, Tony Abreu had the pleasure of running booths at a special Westport High School event today! 😊

This event taught HS juniors how to manage money and budget appropriately. 💵

Our booths highlighted how volunteering or donating to charitable causes can make a difference in your community and benefit your life. 💫

It was great to talk to so many wonderful students who care! ❤️ Thank you to the school for inviting us!
