"The patients and staff of Shriners Hospitals for Children - Houston are thankful to the KIDSovercancer Foundation for supporting our hospital with a gift of two iPads. Your organization's thoughtful donation will help us engage kids in learning activities while they are healing and participating in rehabilitative activities. Inpatients at the Houston hospital stay with us from as little as three days to longer periods, such as three months, depending on condition. The iPad is a remarkable tool that will help our kids see more, do more and learn more while they are staying with us. KIDSovercancer Foundation donated two iPads to Seattle Children's Hospital and received this thank you letter for the donation. Help us continue to make a difference for Children in Hospitals all over the country! DONATE TODAY!

"On behalf of the patients and families at Seattle Children's Hospital, it is my pleasure to thank you for your generous donation of two iPad units.

The iPads will be used by Audiology patients and their caregivers for:
-ASL (American Sign Language) applications, including bi-lingual links
-Care conference tools between parents, patients and caregivers
-Mobile access to video relay services to call family, friends, and coordinate transportation needs
-Empowering teen aged patients to become independent. The ability for them to make their own calls through the iPad applications is one step toward that goal
-Mobile access to games, social network accounts and other medical/health education-related applications and websites"
