There’s an Ancient Cave at Holladay that’s been here since 1837, and it gives us a pretty unique place to experiment with one of bourbon’s biggest variables: the barrel.⁠

Different types of oak. Different toasting methods. Spiraling. Smoking. All while the cave itself stays at a constant 60 degrees. ⁠
⁠
For this release, we took Holladay Soft Red Wheat Bourbon and gave it a second round in American oak (Char #3), building more character and texture... then we bottled it at Cask Strength.⁠ 🥃⁠

It’s the first time we’ve released an Ancient Cave Collection Cask Strength expression in a full 750ML bottle and it’s making its way to shelves across the country now! 🚚

If you’re wondering what’s smoking in Weston this weekend… 🥃🍖

The 4th Annual Made for KC BBQ Championship has brought 47 of the region’s top competition barbecue teams to historic downtown Weston, and Holladay Distillery is proud to serve as a host partner for the event.

There’s no public tasting of the competition barbecue, but there’s plenty happening behind the scenes as these pitmasters compete for the chance to become the next featured pitmaster at the Made for KC BBQ Experience at Kansas City International Airport.

We’re excited to welcome them back to Weston!
