If you fly, we can't! Aerial operations on the Old Emigrant Fire, located east of Pendleton, have been shut down due to public users flying drones near the fire. When firefighting aircraft must be grounded, wildfires can grow in size, which greatly hampers firefighting efforts, threatens lives, homes, property and natural resources.

On June 16 at 7:07pm, East Umatilla Fire & Rescue was called to an accident at milepost 12 on Highway 11. The vehicle hit a guardrail and went into a ditch. 1 patient was in the vehicle and was transported to a hospital.
