The Rotary Club of Weston & Wayland meets every Thursday usually at the Weston Golf Club. Please join us!

We start with an informal social time from 6-6:30 pm and then have a dinner meeting until 7:30 pm. 🎓 Congratulations to the 2026 Hector J. Osmond Rotary Scholarship Recipients! 🎓

The Rotary Club of Weston-Wayland was honored to recognize four outstanding students at our annual Scholarship Awards Dinner. These remarkable young leaders have demonstrated academic excellence, strong character, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities.

Through the Hector J. Osmond Rotary Scholarship Program, we are proud to invest in the next generation of leaders who embody the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self. The evening was filled with inspiration, celebration, and optimism for the future.

We wish these students continued success as they begin their college journeys and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in the world.

🎳 Last week’s Rotary Bowling Night was an absolute hit. From friendly competition to plenty of laughter echoing down the lanes, it was one of those evenings that reminded us how good it feels to simply spend time together.

We enjoyed great food, lively conversations, and the chance to catch up with fellow Rotarians and friends. And of course — the bowling did not disappoint. Whether you were throwing strikes or perfecting the art of the gutter ball, everyone brought their best spirit of fun.

A special shout‑out to our evening’s winning team: Tom, Rob, Edwin, and Valdet's twins, whose photo is included below. Their impressive scores (and even more impressive enthusiasm) helped make the night unforgettable.

Events like this strengthen our connections and keep our club vibrant. Thanks to everyone who joined in and made the night such a success.

Meet Thalia, the 10-year-old creator behind Koink — a fun new board game business coming to this year’s Rotary Club of Weston-Wayland Children’s Business Fair!

Inspired by a love of pigs and a dream of becoming a business owner, Thalia designed her very own board game to create the perfect experience for fellow pig lovers and game fans alike. With creativity, imagination, and entrepreneurial spirit, she turned an original idea into a real product that will be available for everyone to enjoy at the fair.

💡 Created entirely by a young entrepreneur
💵 Available for just $5.99 at the fair

Thalia even created her own website to help launch her business — proof that big ideas can start at any age!

🌟 Children’s Business Fair – Business Spotlight 🌟

Meet Clara, the 11-year-old entrepreneur behind Clara’s Creative Crafts, coming to this year’s Rotary Club of Weston-Wayland Children’s Business Fair!

What started with hand-sewn seat cushions sold at home quickly grew into a creative business fueled by imagination, determination, and a love for making things by hand. After taking sewing classes and participating in school craft fairs, Clara expanded her business even further when she received a 3D printer for Christmas — opening the door to an entirely new world of creativity.

🐶 And there’s one very special inspiration behind part of the business: Clara’s puppy, Daisy! After Daisy repeatedly turned Clara’s pillows into chew toys, Clara began designing felt dog toys specifically for her energetic pup. That experience inspired both new products and the business logo itself!

At Clara’s booth, you’ll find:

A great day at Happy Hollow School in Wayland for the Sapling Project! 🌱

Students gathered to learn about the importance of trees, sustainability, and how even small seedlings can grow into something that makes a big impact. The excitement and curiosity in the room made it clear—these future caretakers of our environment are ready to get their hands dirty and make a difference.

Seedlings delivered and smiles all around at Claypit Hill School in Wayland! 🌱

These future plantings are headed for students’ hands as part of the Sapling Project, giving kids the chance to learn, grow, and make a lasting impact on their community. There’s nothing better than seeing this much excitement for something that will take root for years to come.

Thank you to everyone helping make this delivery possible — we can’t wait to see these seedlings planted and thriving! 🌳

This year's Kids Fishing Derby at the Weston High School Pond was everything we hoped for — and more. With beautiful weather, an incredible turnout of 186 young anglers, and a powerhouse crew of Rotarians, families, and friends, our community showed up in full force.

Thanks to all the volunteers who set up, measured fish, cheered on the kids, and kept the morning running smoothly. Your spirit made the day shine as brightly as the sunshine on the water.

And the fish were biting — 172 recorded catches! We had standout performances from two young girls, each reeling in 17 fish throughout the day, proving once again that the derby brings out serious talent.

This is Rotary at its best: joyful service, community connection, and memories made together. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen.
