🌟 Member Spotlight: Henry McElligott 🌟
This month, we’re proud to highlight our member spotlight, Henry McElligott. Henry joined Weston EMS as a junior in high school four years ago and has made an outstanding contribution to our department ever since, volunteering over 1,100 hours and responding to more than 350 calls. Henry was our 2022 Student EMT of the Year and recently became a driver in the department. He is also an active firefighter with
Henry grew up in Weston and now attends the University of Pittsburgh, where he is studying emergency medicine and serves as the Vice President of Pitt Student EMS. He is also a firefighter/EMT in Monroeville, PA.
Outside of EMS, Henry volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and loves to ski, hike, and spend time outdoors.
Henry says that his favorite part of being an EMT is the fulfillment that comes from providing both medical and emotional support to others in his community during their times of need. He also appreciates that Weston EMS is filled with people who share the same mission.
We are so lucky to have such a dedicated and compassionate individual in our community, and we thank you, Henry, for all that you do.
