This evening the Board of Aldermen passed Resolution #2026-007 concerning the 1% City Sales Tax question that will be in front of the voters on April 7, 2026.

The tax proceeds will be known as 2026 1% Sales Tax Fund and prioritized as follows 1) Roadway Infrastructure 2) Capital Improvements and 3) Long Term Planning Efforts.

A Five Year Plan will also be developed to continue the momentum of repairs of roadwork that started last year and are continuing this year.
