Within the last half-hour the City was informed of the arrest of Michael Hull. He is the suspect from yesterday's search. Thank you for your patience and Thank You to all Law Enforcement Officers involved in this investigation. We appreciate them keeping all of our citizens safe.

The suspect from today's events, 9/8/2026, has not yet been apprehended. It is believed he is in an area that does not pose direct threat to the citizens of Weston. However, we are encouraged to continue to stay on high alert. We are waiting for the Platte County Sheriff's Department to issue a press release. We will continue to keep you updated as we can with everyone's safety in mind.

Today, August 20, and Friday August 21, 2026, the "MADE FOR KC BBQ CONTEST" is in the City Hall parking lots. This is a BIG event we are happy to host!! You can still come to City Hall and park under the tent for handicapp access or behind the building by the brick sidewalk. If you need us to come out to you, please call City Hall at 816-640-2752. City Hall will be open for business both days, it is just extremely busy outside!
