PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The City of Westmoreland will have a Public Hearing for ORDINANCE -1 ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT FOR MINIMUM REQUIRED LOT AREA FOR SINGLE FAMILY DETACHED RESIDENTIAL WITH PUBLIC SEWER and ORDINANCE -2 ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO ADD CONVENIENCE SALES AND SERVICES AS A PERMITTED USE UNDER C-1 AND C-2 ZONING DISTRICTS.
The public hearing will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. during the regularly scheduled council meeting at 5300 Austin Peay Hwy, Westmoreland, TN 37186.

Notice of Special Call Work Study

Mayor David Leath has called a Special Call Work Study for Thursday, June 18, 2026 immediately following the City Council meeting at 6:00 pm in the HG Kirby Municipal Building located at 5300 Austin Peay Hwy.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the water and sewer developer policies. This will follow the regularly scheduled City Council meeting.

There is a water leak on Old 31E. While it is being repaired, water may be out for Hawkins Drive and customers in the Fairfield and Turner Station area. We will get this repaired as soon as possible.

City of Westmoreland Monthly Clean-up week for JUNE will begin Monday thru Wednesday, JUNE 8TH-10TH from 8am-3:30pm and Saturday, JUNE 13TH will be 8am-12pm.
Drop off location is at the old Public Works Building on Lake Road. A Public Works employee will be directing to the proper drop off location. Large items such as furniture, mattresses, appliances, batteries, etc. will be accepted. Also, any tree limbs, brush and lumber may be brought. Paint, hazardous chemicals, and oil will not be accepted. Westmoreland City Residents must bring an ID and live within the city limits to be eligible to drop off items. All items will have to be unloaded by the resident only.

“Disaster Recovery Still Available in TN”
If your home or business was damaged by the January Winter Ice Storm, the U.S Small Business Administration (SBA) may be able to help. SBA encourages businesses of any size, nonprofits/private organizations, homeowners, and renters to apply to SBA disaster assistance which ends on June 10th, 2026. To get in person assistance please visit us at the Mobile Disaster Recovery Center or you can start your application on line at www.sba.gov/disaster.
SBA Benefits: No cost to apply, no interest or payments for the first year, no pre-payment penalties. Funds can be used for relocation, refinance, reimbursement, insurance deductibles and available if you have no insurance or are underinsured.
Business owners can apply for working capital losses and have until January 10, 2027, to apply.
