🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET | SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

Today, we pause to remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, including the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, military members, dispatchers, and civilians whose courage and selflessness defined one of our nation’s darkest days.

Twenty-five years later, their sacrifice is never forgotten. We will continue to honor their legacy through service, brotherhood, and dedication to our communities.

💡⚡ POWER RESTORATION UPDATE ⚡💡

Power has been restored to portions of our community, with crews continuing to work to restore service to those who remain without power.

We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the dedicated men and women of West Penn Power who have been working tirelessly through challenging conditions to get our community back online. 👏⚡

We know the work isn’t finished yet, and we greatly appreciate the long hours and dedication of everyone involved.

⚡🔥 Electrical Fire – Walmart North Huntingdon 🔥⚡

Our members responded to Walmart in North Huntingdon for a reported electrical fire. Police officers on scene initially knocked down the fire using extinguishers prior to the arrival of fire crews.

Upon arrival, crews checked for extension and discovered the fire was still active, prompting crews to continue suppression operations. Our members coordinated the ventilation operations to help clear smoke from the building.

⛈️🚨 29 Incidents — One Extremely Busy Night 🚨⛈️

Last night was an extremely busy one for our volunteers, with members responding to a total of 29 incidents during the storm.

Calls ranged from structure fires and structure collapses to swift water rescue incidents, wires down, and trees blocking roadways.

Through the severe weather and challenging conditions, our members remained ready to respond wherever they were needed.

We hope everyone made it through the storm safely, and we thank our community for their patience while emergency crews worked throughout the night. 🚒

🚨🚒 Busy Evening at Station 3! 🚒🚨

Our members responded alongside Adamsburg VFD for an automatic fire alarm on Lowry Avenue, followed by a structure fire response for RIT operations.

A total of 12 members answered the calls before returning to the station for our monthly department meeting.
