The growing season at Maiker's Gathering Place Community Gardens is in full swing! 🌱

After two wonderful garden prepping events earlier this month, the garden is looking vibrant and full of possibilities. We have our incredible members to thank for it! We can't wait to see what this season brings at the gardens.

This is what "One Maiker, One Culture" looks like in action. 🌳

Service Day is one of our favorite days of the year. Last week, the Maiker team showed up as volunteers with a shared goal: investing in our communities and the people who call them home. The Maiker team got hands-on at Alto, Terrace Gardens, Yorkshire, Junegrass and Overlook. Projects included planting, painting, installing soccer nets, and beautifying shared community spaces.

Maiker believes strong neighborhoods start with showing up.

A huge thank you to our partners at Nick's Garden Center for their incredible generosity. 🌿

This family-owned garden center has been serving the community for over 30 years, and they recently showed up in a big way for Maiker's Junegrass members by donating 60+ bags of fertilizer to help our community gardens flourish this season. We are so grateful for partners who invest in our communities.

Maiker is excited to expand its future housing pipeline to include a new construction project that is expected to break ground in 2028. Located on a vacant site adjacent to Maiker’s newly-acquired Junegrass community, the Development Team is diligently creating a new Senior housing community in Thornton, Colorado.

During these early stages, the Development Team is taking recommendations from Maiker staff on how to help shape this project. This project will expand the current Junegrass community to include 72 additional units of housing as well as newly built, integrated amenities that will be available for all current and future Junegrass members.

The Maiker Board of Commissioners visited the Riverdale Animal Shelter on April 13 for a purrr-poseful half-day of team-building. Board members toured the shelter, learned about Riverdale Animal Shelter's incredible mission and even enjoyed some quality time with kittens. The day highlighted a shared commitment to creating safe and supportive housing, whether for people or pets, where all can feel at home.
