Our state DEC alliances around the country are the cornerstone of the national drug endangered children effort and we are committed to building and sustaining this network. We provide leadership, strategic planning, training, and technical assistance to our alliances. Our resources and services include a Core DEC Training curriculum, with no-cost train-the-trainer sessions; DEC alliance operations guidelines and assistance with stages of development; monthly conference calls and information-sharing; an annual conference; and regular networking opportunities. WORKING GROUPS
National DEC’s working groups are composed of experts from the field whom we call upon to conduct research, evaluate practices and procedures, and provide accurate advice and information regarding the many needs of drug endangered children. Working group members produce fact sheets and protocols, respond to “Ask an Expert” inquiries, and present webinars on current topics. They help develop effective responses to the challenges faced by drug endangered children and the practitioners who work with them and write DEC-related articles for peer-reviewed journals and other publications.
