We are proud to launch our 2025 Impact Report, documenting a year shaped by organizational adaptation and continued dedication to serving neighbors across Windham and Windsor counties.

In 2025, SEVCA provided 4,402 services to 3,342 individuals and 1,750 households. With nearly one in eight residents across Windham and Windsor Counties living in need and overall funding declining, this impact demonstrates SEVCA’s ability to deliver meaningful results in critical areas such as housing stability, homelessness prevention, home heating assistance, early childhood education, weatherization, and financial empowerment.

As Executive Director Joshua Davis stated “We are not only responding to today but building for tomorrow. We are investing in strengthening SEVCA so that we can continue to serve as a reliable, foundational support for years to come.”

Our Financial Coaching offers a flexible service designed to meet the unique needs of qualifying Vermonters.

In one example, we worked with a couple who were experiencing homelessness. One partner was working, while the other was unable to work. Together, we focused on creating stability—working to move them out of a shelter, tracking their monthly expenses, and understanding where their money was going.

By auditing and monitoring spending, we were able to identify areas to cut back and build a realistic plan. This support helped them secure an apartment, enroll their young child in Head Start, and move toward long‑term stability. They’re able to save money, and they’ve successfully transitioned off state support.

✅ These services are free of charge for qualifying Vermonters.

If you’re thinking about better budgeting skills, identifying areas to save, seeking help to get an apartment or just want help with credit debt our financial education may be a great fit for you. Feel free to reach out to learn more!
